Chocolate Orange Trifle

Chocolate Orange Cake:

  • 90g flora/stork baking liquid, softened
  • 165g caster sugar
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 2 eggs, large
  • 40g self raising flour
  • 120g plain flour
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 120ml milk
  • 15ml vinegar (malt or white wine)
  • 2 x 135g packets of orange jelly

Chocolate Custard:

  • 500ml ready made custard
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 300ml double cream
  • 2 tbsps icing sugar
  • 20g grated dark chocolate
  • 1 x 298g tin of Mandarin segments, drained
